Reservations are recommended at this small BYOB restaurant located in the heart of Conshohocken, PA.
This set price meals include an appetizer, main course and desert for $31 a person. Both the portions and selection was excellent and for the money, a great bargain.
I enjoyed breaded scallops that were pan friend and served with a sweet sauce. The scallops were perfectly done but the breading tended to fall off after the smallest of touch. My dining partner had a crab risotto which was think and very good.

For the main course, I ordered the sesame encrusted tuna steak. This was prepared in the traditional sense, with very quick sear on the outside and pink in the middle. It was served on a bed of sushi rice soaked in a sweet soy sauce, a great complement to the tuna. To put it mildly, I cleaned my plate. My dining partner had the special, which was monk fish in a lemon sauce. The fish was done well, but the sauce overpowered the delicate fish.

For desert, I had the chocolate fondue. This included a rich dark chocolate sauce with marshmallows, strawberries and bananas. Dipping these items into the chocolate was heaven and a great compliment to a super meal. My partner had the chocolate cake which was huge and very rich with not a lot of icing, which made for a great finale to a very good meal.

Overall, I would recommend Fayette Street Grill to anyone in the area. The price is right and for a BYOB, you can’t beat it.
