OK, this is going to be a bit of a different review for me. I was married August 23, 2008 and we decided to host the wedding at 333 Belrose. This was to be their first wedding and although they have never hosted a wedding at the restaurant, we thought it would be well suited for our needs.
Some background:
Guests : 60
Ceremony : Back Patio, Officiated by the Mayor of Conshohocken
Cocktails : Cocktails at the bar and back patio
Reception : Main Dining Room
First, I can’t say enough about Kelly at 333 Belrose. She was fun, flexible and made the whole planning experience easy. The wedding ceremony was held in the patio at the rear of the restaurant. This was uncovered and weather could have been an issue, but it wasn’t. The sun was setting behind the trees, it was not too hot nor rainy, just perfect. The staff quickly moved the chairs out and made the back patio suitable for cocktails and fun.
Flowers were from Robertson’s Flowers. They are not cheap, but the flowers looked great and the arbor set apart the ceremony and brought together the whole environment.
After the ceremony, there was a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres. Again, 333 Belrose food and staff were great. We had the Asparagus and Beef Tenderloin Wraps, Oysters on the Half Shell, Grilled Chicken Satay Skewers, and Ginger Shrimp Spring Rolls. All were well presented and very tasty.
For the reception, I had the mixed lettuces and greens and the filet of beef. Both were excellent and really made the entire day come together. Since our day was not your typical wedding, we tried to make the food important. It was. 333 Belrose simply hit a home run from presentation, service and the overall meal. I have received several compliments from friends and family and I think they probably garnered some return business based on the experience had by the guests.
For desert, we simply did wedding cake. The wedding cake was from Master’s Baker and they made a great cake with lots of flavors. The cake was really tasty and very well done. It looked like a Tiffany box!
Overall, a great event by 333 Belrose. Kim and I could not be happier with the entire day and we look forward to returning for a simple meal without wearing dresses and tuxes.
